My majors in university were English and philosophy. As for English, I focused especially on American English and received my Bachelor's degree in American Literature. After finishing my studies with a Master in Education, I went on to acquire my teacher's license, for which I had to undergo another 18 months of teacher's training. This finally qualified me for working at a public school in Germany, where I was able to teach English as a foreign language to students from grade 5 to 13, and philosophy from grade 7 to 13. I also became the head of the philosophy department and cooperated very closely with my coworkers for curriculum development, appropriate exam evaluation, student assessment, etc.
