My method depends on the preferences of the student, but usually I use my own method, I call it the natural conversation method, in which I just talk with the student about a subject that is interesting for him / her, and at the same time I type everything, and via screensharing the student can read everything at (almost) the same time. Of course, I explain and if necessary translate everything that the student does not understand, and I adjust my way of speaking to the level of the student.
I studied Public Administration, computer programming and in Guatemala I did a course how to teach a foreign language without speaking the native language of the students. It was a lot of fun but I developed my own method. I call it the natural conversation method. It works as follows: I just talk with the student, a normal, natural, spontaneous conversation, about a subject of interest for the student. At the same time I type everything, and the student can read this because I use screen sharing. It sounds simple but it is not so simple to do, it is hard work but I love it and it works really great for motivated students. It is important though that the student practice this lesson daily, if not it will be hard to remember and you will not progress so fast. After the class I also sent the student the text in a Word document and I also record it in mp3 format, so the student can read it and listen to it at the same time if he / she wants. It is a very entertaining method, I often have fun with my students and of course everything that is needed. This method is what I used most often but I can also use other methods, like use popular songs for the lyrics, or reading an article and discuss that. My method depends on the student, but the method that I just described is usually also the method that the student wants.
Here are the hours when the tutor has the opportunity to work with new students. The information about the available time slots may change every hour in real time. That is why you have to discuss the exact time with a tutor
