I am a native German and have lived in San Francisco for the last 20 years. I love math puzzles and enjoy figuring out different ways to solve them. I am always a little surprised how much fear is involved in learning math and love to help my students see the joy in numbers and math concepts.

I hold a master’s degree in mathematics and education from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and a teacher’s license from Studienseminar für das Lehramt an Gymnasien Osnabrück, the equivalent of a license for teaching American preparatory schools. I have taught mathematics from middle school to college level including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and Pre-Calculus. I also lectured in the math department of Georg-August-Universität and have 20+ years of experience in math education including extensive experience in cutting-edge mathematics curriculum development tailored to the specific needs and interests of the students and hands-on teaching and training.
