Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought after with ardor and attended to with diligence - Abigail Adams (US First Lady 1797-1801); I approach learning as a passion- being the offspring of parents being educators with Master's degrees- and being a Master degree holder- the above words are true.

I have a Master's in Mechanical Engineering - changing career path into teaching in HISD and FBISD.
My parents were both educators with Masters degrees. Iam embracing my passion and love to teach. My mom being a teacher taught at the same school that I studied !
As life takes me through its avenues- I discovered that as much as individual success matters- it comes to a point in time where collective and community success matters. As we are a part of community- individual identity takes a transformation into a collective and community identity- we are a part of the whole. As Gandhiji accurately mentioned- "Be the change you want to see in the world" and this is my attempt to instill a passion for learning in the new generation.
As a mother now- the best way to inspire is to evoke in the students the love for learning- take out the hangups they have about learning.
I intend to do my best and empower my students to embrace their true and authentic selves. Knowledge is power and it gives us an edge over others.
A flexion point in my life is this realization- realization that individual success maynot amount to a whole lot if there is no collective and community success- being a tutor is my attempt to be part of the whole and be able to contribute to the collective success as a community and humanity.
Being from India- I had two Math teachers- both women who inspired me. Iam very grateful that I join the elite group of women Math teachers. I take their spirit with me. These women challenged patriarchal systems and they did it with elan.
My motto is to inspire and ignite inspiration. Inspire love for the subject- and as a parent we can sit back as the kids/students take it from there.
Being a mother of two high achieving high schoolers- personally I have come to a point where individual success translates into collective success- the hallmark of individual success is collective success.
