The year 2023 was a defining one for UpskillsTutor, as we continued our confident journey in the world of education, despite challenging conditions for our country. This year was marked by a variety of achievements made possible thanks to our incredible clients, important partnerships, and dedicated users.
UpskillsTutor care: Helping Children
In 2023, we launched the BUKI Care program to aid children affected by the war in their development and to give them a chance for a dignified future. Currently, 118 children are receiving education, with 100 sponsored by the company and the remaining 18 by our own employees. This fact, like nothing else, demonstrates the synergy between the company and its employees. Each child has the opportunity to undergo 80 individual lessons with a tutor, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills. The total budget for this initiative is about 1.5 million hryvnias. We believe that education is the key to a better future, and we are proud to be able to help these children.
Team Growth
Among our most significant victories this year was the impressive growth of our team. Over the year, our family expanded by 75 outstanding professionals. This confident growth reflects our aspiration to provide only the best conditions and service for our users.
UpskillsTutor at Bett UK 2024
A significant achievement for UpskillsTutor was our participation in Bett UK 2024, the world's largest event in educational technology in the United Kingdom. Selection for the national delegation identified UpskillsTutor among the top eight EdTech startups, and we are incredibly proud to be among the best!
Launch of Romanian UpskillsTutor
The launch of the Romanian version of UpskillsTutor opened up new international opportunities and allowed us to expand our influence globally. The UpskillsTutor Romania project was launched in November 2023, and currently, the site offers tutors for English and mathematics. However, we plan not to stop there and will continue to expand our horizons.
Recognition in Forbes and the EdTech Ranking
Two of our articles were published in Forbes, highlighting our contribution to the field of education. One of these materials reveals the history of the establishment of the BUKI tutoring marketplace in Ukraine. The founders of UpskillsTutor
shared with Forbes our plans and strategies for future development, as well as our contributions to improving the educational process and enhancing the quality of education.
BUKI made it into the TOP EdTech projects in Europe for the third time according to HolonIQ, one of the world's most authoritative services for information gathering and ranking. In the "Tutoring and Test Prep" category. This recognition in the field of tutoring services is significant.
UpskillsTutorʼs co-founder Vadym Synzheretskyi this year received the Forbes 30 Under 30 award in Europe. Forbes writes: "Any significant achievements are almost never a one night success, but rather the cumulative effect of daily actions, habits, and activities. Therefore, focus not on the goal, but on the daily steps, small tasks, and habits that lead to it." – this award is indeed a recognition for Vadym and an additional source of inspiration for our future achievements.
