I taught reading in an elementary school classroom to 3rd graders for 5 years. We used Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills(TEKS). Since I taught in a high needs classroom, I have also utilized a specialized curriculum called Teach Town for reading. This helped the kids with comprehension and also basic grammar. I am also certified in Texas Reading Academies which is a very intense academic reading course required by TEA.

I am certified in k-12 Special Education and ESL. I am also certified in Texas Reading Academies, which is a specialized and intense reading course that teaches the science to teach reading(STR). I enjoy teaching children, which is where my experience lies.
