As I’ve dove into the Seattle theatre world, I’ve gotten to switch hats as an actor, playwright, and director. As I wrap up my BFA in Acting & Original Works, I have three years of experience coaching and directing with professional etiquette and experimental practices.

Elwell is an actor, playwright, director, and deviser located in Seattle, Washington. Plays include: “THE IPHIGENIA” (Cornish New Works Festival (2023), “mayonnaise by the smashing pumpkins”, and “The Pepper’s Ghost Effect”. As a member of BAND Theatre, a devised theatre group, Elwell utilizes original music production, expressive movement, and scripted dialogue to produce shows such as “I AM NOT EXEMPT” (Cornish New Works Festival 2024). Elwell performs as drag persona Justice Tankini with original music and spoken word poetry (Instagram: @JusticeTankini). Previous theatre credits include: “Fun Home” (Cornish), “CATSLUT!” (Strawberry Theatre Workshop), “Aloha, Say the Pretty Girls” (Cornish), and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Emerald Theatre). Film credits include: “Inferno” (Feature, Dir. Giao Nguyen), and “The Last Sabbath” (Short, Dir. Jordan Rider). Elwell’s upcoming projects include the role of Disney CEO Ron Miller in “A Public Reading of an Unproduced Play About the Death of Walt Disney” on December 8th, and soon directing Jacob Guzman’s new play “Mother of the Marsh”, opening in March 2025.
