Some of the methods i will adopt include diagnostic assessment so as to identify the students strengths and weaknesses through initial testing or interviews. other methods include, one-on-one instruction and use of discussions, role plays, practice quizzes which keeps students meaningfully engaged and improves memory retention.
Some of the aims of studying a language as globally relevant as English being to have a good understanding of the grammar rules and building strong listening and speaking skills as well as confidence in interactions, the following teaching approaches will be adopted: Phonics approach, Communicative Language Teaching, Grammar-translation method,Task-based learning, project-based learning as well as blended learning.
I will be glad to take you through reading lessons in English and Igbo languages(native). My teaching methods varies. For beginners, the phonics approach is a must whereby, students will embrace the relationship between letters and sounds and as well, learn how to decode words by sounding them out. Other methods include, whole language, balanced literacy, guided reading, reading comprehension and interactive read-aloud methods.
I studied Law in the University of Nigeria and have been teaching professionally for ten (10) years now. My approach to teaching is shaped by a strong sense of empathy, patience and a genuine desire to see others grow and succeed.
