With 20 years of experience, I can teach students from beginner to master degree students in the fields of book illustration, character design, layouts, digital painting, storyboarding, anatomy drawing, perspective drawing, watercolour painting and more

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors in Studio art Emphasis in Illustration and Design. I specialize in most traditional mediums such as graphite, charcoal, watercolor, and acrylic as well as digital illustration. I have taught several adult watercolor painting programs at the mesa public Library to much success.

I specialize in character design, world building and dynamic visual storytelling. I teach the fundamentals of composition, color and action. I have illustrated for comics, TV and custom packaging. I've created pitch bibles for TV series and toy lines. I can help you define your character and world and teach you how to develop an original idea. I'm also an experienced graphic designer with knowledge of logo design and branding.

I've worked in diverse art roles, from creating computer graphics, cartoons for TV and games, to illustrating children's books. I develop a creative process from rough thumbnails to final art, sharing tips along the way. I look forward to guiding students and making learning fun with my experience!
