About:
I have a BS degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo and have prior experience working as a software engineer at a robotics company. My appraoch to teaching is simple, you cannot truly learn a topic, unless you're able to teach it to someone else. My appraoch to teaching is to have my students map out their though process and see where there may be a disconnect and to try different approaches to explaining it until the student is comfortable with the material. I also follow the principles of "spaced-repetition" and "active recall" when it comes to teaching as well as my own learning as these methods have research backing to prove their effectiveness.
