I have been teaching O & A levels and IBDP Chemistry in different top-notch schools for 2 decades.

I am well acquainted with all the necessary paraphernalia needed to make Chemistry an interesting subject for O Levels, A levels, and IBDP students. I utilize the 5E formula (Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and Evaluation) as an essential pedagogical technique, which makes my students feel chemistry as the easiest subject amongst all sciences. About 70% of my students secure A grades in CIE. One of my batches secured 100% A grades in “Falconhouse Grammar School” in the year 2012. Many of my students have secured world distinctions. My exquisite output shows that students in my class enjoy studying chemistry with open-mindedness, motivation and liberty of using their ideas in emerging their creativity skills.

As a teacher, I believe in “Inclusive Teaching” and “Inquiry-based Learning” according to which it is not just giving lectures to the students (in a conventional way) but it is a two-way synchronization. To accomplish the learning goals, a teacher has to bring himself to the understanding level of every student (sitting at any corner of the class) and provide him individual support for the conceptual grasp of the topics being taught. I like to play my role more as a facilitator rather than just a dictator. Utilizing technology like projector’s use for presentations, Widgets, Animations, Online Assignments, Project work and Practical make learning an interesting exercise. In pandemic situations, I completed “Excellence in Online Teaching Certificate” from “Arizona State University” to make myself well-acquainted with online pedagogical methodologies which have also become an integral part of teaching now.

I frequently use props in my live classroom sessions and online classes to enhance the strong engagement of the students which helps developing interest in the subject. For strengthening conceptual knowledge, I use different sub-topical worksheets to enhance their understanding and application skills which also helps students believe in themselves as they start attempting novel tasks more easily and get the pleasure of success when they feel they are capable of applying their knowledge in diverse situations.
