I’m Ariana Dsouza, an actor and teaching artist based in Los Angeles, trained in LA, New York, London, and Hong Kong. I teach acting to students of all ages, drawing from film, TV, theatre, and on-camera work. During both the years of my university studies and the years I’ve been working as a professional actor and drama teacher for both kids and adults, Ι have immersed myself both theoretically and practically in many acting –and dancing- techniques and methods like Grotowski’s, Stanislavski’s, Strasberg’s, Meisner’s, Brecht’s, Laban’s etc.. I have taught acting for film and stage to actors that are already making their way to pursue careers in the performing arts.

Hi, I'm Shelby. I have a BA in History from Johns Hopkins University, where I graduated with honors. I tutored in the Writing Center at JHU and have worked with K-12 students improve their grasp of English and History and assisted with writing and research projects. I am an actor and comedian in addition to working in media, news and entertainment industries. I love working with students and have experience working with folks on the spectrum and with ADHD. I'm happy to come to you or work online!

My teaching process is very playful, game-based, and low pressure. In addition to working on monologues and technique in practice, I will provide readings for us to study from fantastic acting books by artists like Uta Hagen, John Barton, and more.
