I implement coherent, easily understood teaching methods, especially to youngsters; I use well-informed, intuitively comprehensible step-by-step instruction; I include repeated, individualized followups as needed to ensure a level playing field for all students; I source from a wide ranging repertoire of fun, entertaining ideas for art projects and assignments; I apply easy to understand and fair assessment; I’m at ease with both students and colleagues and I’m an excellent team player.

I will sit down and live draw with my students to explain the processes I go through creating different types of art. I can also answer questions and show different tactics and at home ways to improve art abilities. Students can request different skills like: realism, anime, cartoon, still life, horror art, punk art, character design, environment design, concept art, prop/item design.

I begin with a well-structured curriculum that outlines the key concepts students will learn in each software. I divide the curriculum into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. To help students better understand the topics, I create pre-recorded video tutorials for each lesson and provide step-by-step explanations and visual examples. I then assign hands-on projects that apply the skills learned in the lessons and provide feedback on completed projects.

I am a lifelong learner, currently focusing on art and art history. I also make folk stringed instruments. I have a Masters of Fine Arts in Visual Studies and another in Technology Education. I enjoy working with power tools to manipulate materials and problem solve.

Much of life gets bogged down with confusing or needless information, so I believe in keeping it simple. There is always so much that one can do with so little to leave their own unique mark on the planet and I wish to carry that notion through my illustration and design. I have a degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, and will be able to assist you with both art and design with Adobe Creative Cloud, Clip Studio Paint, or traditional methods.
