Hello! My name is Xuemei Huang, and I am a certified Mandarin Chinese teacher with more than ten years of teaching experience in U.S. public schools.

I currently teach middle school Chinese and work with students from beginner to intermediate levels. Throughout my career, I have helped students develop strong communication skills in speaking, listening, reading, and cultural understanding.

My teaching approach focuses on making Chinese understandable, engaging, and practical. I use a variety of strategies, including comprehensible input, Total Physical Response (TPR), games, storytelling, visual supports, and interactive activities. Lessons are designed to encourage students to actively use the language in meaningful situations rather than simply memorize vocabulary and grammar rules.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each student's goals, interests, and learning pace. Whether you are learning Chinese for school, travel, work, heritage language development, or personal enrichment, I will create lessons that meet your needs.
