If you've ever spent hours attempting to solve a Rubik's Cube, you are aware of how difficult but enjoyable the process can be. Solving the cube is a challenging puzzle that can put your patience and problem-solving abilities to the test. Whether it's for a world record attempt or just to satisfy your own curiosity.

Even if you're new, you can learn a lot of tricks and tips that will help you master this age-old game. So grab a cube because it's time to learn how to solve one!

How Does a Rubik's Cube Work

Since the 1980s, people have been challenged by the 3D puzzle known as a Rubik's Cube. There are nine distinct squares on each of the six sides that are solid colors. A Rubik's Cube can be solved using just a few basic algorithms and sequences, despite its enigmatic appearance.

One must first comprehend the most fundamental algorithm. It involves twisting two side rows in opposite directions to produce one side with only squares of the same solid color. When this is accomplished, solving the cube becomes simpler because more advanced algorithms can be used to correctly manipulate the other sides.

Despite its complexity, anyone can quickly become an expert at solving a Rubik's Cube by practicing a variety of algorithms!

How to Solve a Rubik's Cube in 20 Moves

This well-known puzzle is renowned for being challenging to solve, but it's doable—in multiple ways! You've come to the right place if you want to impress people by solving this puzzle quickly. In this section, you will find out how to solve a Rubik's Cube in 20 moves, so keep reading!

  1. One clockwise rotation of the cube's top layer is required. Start with a mixed-up or already-solved cube as they are often when they come out of the packaging.
  2. Clockwise, rotate the right layer twice. The directions (right, left, front, and rear) for a Rubik's Cube depend on how you hold the cube. For example, "right" refers to whichever layer is currently on the right side of the cube's front.
  3. One clockwise rotation of the front side. Once clockwise, turn the back side. Whichever layer is next to the front is the back side. Then, make one clockwise rotation of the cube's right side.
  4. Twice clockwise, rotate the back layer. Instead of flipping the complete cube to perform a move, make sure the "back" layer remains the back throughout the operation. The cube should always face the same way to make it simpler to maintain orientation.
  5. Turn the cube's right side once clockwise. Give the Rubik's cube's top layer two clockwise rotations.
  6. Turn the Rubik's Cube left side once clockwise. Whichever side of the cube is to the right of where you are holding it is this side. Then make two counterclockwise rotations of the cube's rear layer.
  7. Turn the cube once clockwise starting with the right side. Make one counterclockwise rotation of the top side. One counterclockwise rotation of the bottom layer (the side opposite the top) is required.
  8. Revolve the right side two more times in a clockwise direction. Spine the cube's front side once in a clockwise direction. By now, you'll see that the colors on the cube's sides are beginning to coincide.
  9. Give the right side of the cube one counterclockwise rotation. Once more, clockwise rotate the left layer. Give the cube's back layer two clockwise rotations.
  10. Make two clockwise rotations of the cube's top layer. Give the front side of your Rubik's cube two clockwise rotations to complete it. You've just finished the cube with 20 moves or less!

Cube In Cube Algorithm

The Cube In Cube algorithm is an algorithm that can be used to solve a 3x3 Rubik's Cube in 24 moves or fewer. It makes use of a series of algorithms and efficient movements to break down the problems associated with solving this particular puzzle. It works by breaking up the cube into smaller chunks and then using algorithms to move each chunk independently. Then only one move is necessary for each cube chunk to get all cube quarters solved.

The challenge in using this algorithm is its length, as it can take a novice puzzler as long as 90 minutes or more to complete the task with very little experience on their part. Despite the time-consuming nature of learning and mastering the Cube In Cube Algorithm, if done correctly, it results in fast and efficient solving that is both entertaining and challenging at the same time.

The Most Expensive Rubik's Cube

The Masterpiece Cube, a component of the Beyond Rubik's Cube exhibition, was created by Diamond Cutter International in 1995 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the puzzle's global celebration.

The Most Expensive Rubik's Cube

The Masterpiece cube is composed of 185 karats of valuable gemstones, including amethysts, emeralds, and rubies, and 18 karats of yellow gold, which is the most remarkable fact. It required hours of work to accurately design and produce. This wonderful cube is 33, and because of its small size, it is simple to solve.

It must be handled cautiously because rough use could cause harm. When it comes to the cost, it is simply astounding. The price of this amazing puzzle, which makes it the most expensive Rubik's cube ever, is $2.5 million.

There you have it! A quick guide on how to solve a Rubik’s Cube, how it works, and what the most expensive Rubik’s Cube looks like. With practice, you’ll be solving it in no time. If you want to challenge yourself further, there are more complex algorithms you can learn!
