My name is Yana. I am 44 years old. I am a teacher of English from Ukraine. There are many things I like to do, to see, and to experience. I like reading, talking to my friends, listening to music. But my favourite activity is walking. While I’m walking I can do all of the above-mentioned. That’s my time to unwind, contemplate and pray.

I have been teaching English for more than twenty years now. I took a two-year course in an international Bible school in London where I learned English almost from scratch. As I was able to get full language immersion and learned the language from native speakers, I developed a good speaking style and a pretty good British accent. After returning back home to Ukraine I worked full time as an interpreter for eight years. I also did written translations. Besides being an interpreter, I have always taught English to children and adults of different ages. For the last 16 years teaching has been my main occupation with 5-7 lessons a day. I do well on one-on-one.
I have good knowledge of various learning materials. I know how to use them methodically, how to find the right type of student’s book, workbook and grammar for different age groups and levels of knowledge and finally how to combine them.
