Hello. My name is Olesia, and I have been a tutor for children for over 10 years.
A little about me: my whole life has been connected with children. Since childhood, I played with the neighbor's kids, told stories, and taught them the alphabet. I would go to work with my mom (she's a kindergarten teacher) and also helped children learn more about the world, study new letters, and read. In school, I assisted younger students with their homework and explained material they didn’t understand. After 9th grade, I enrolled in a Pedagogical College and helped my classmates and friends' children grasp new material.
In my second year, I started my teaching practice in a school, which marked the beginning of my personal tutoring experience. Initially, I helped friends' children with homework, and then parents found me through word-of-mouth. I began preparing children for school and helping with new material for students in grades 1-5. Later, I became a tutor in Ukrainian for students in grades 5-11. From our initial encounters with the Ukrainian language, we progressed to preparing students for final assessments and state exams. At the same time, I worked at the college, teaching Ukrainian language and literature, as well as world literature.
Currently, I am in the USA, working as a Ukrainian language teacher in the 1st grade. I am also ready to continue my tutoring activities. I believe there are many Ukrainian children abroad who want to preserve their Ukrainian language. Some people left Ukraine a long time ago and want to maintain their Ukrainian skills at a minimal level to teach their children and keep in touch with family. I also invite foreigners who want to learn more about Ukrainian culture and language!
